1800s House
When I moved in, I did feel that certain rooms had "vibes". The living room was happy; the kitchen was "normal"; the dining room was very unsettling and scary to walk through and the bedroom had that "lots of people here" feeling, but I moved in anyway. During my life in the house, items were moved; voices were heard and ghosts seen.....vapors; shadows. I finally had the ASPR come in and we did have ghosts throughout the house. One dominant one was an elderly lady who kept rapping on the radiators and the Medium said, "She wants you to check the pipes". Well, she was correct - the pipes attached to the radiators came loose a week later and the steam / water flooded the living room floor. In searching the history, the house was used as a doctor's office and residence. The dining room was the surgery and the bedroom had been the waiting room. At one time, I had had an operation and my Mother was visiting. She put up a cot in the dining room and claimed that she heard whispers all night. and extreme sadness as if several folks had died in that room. Several times I was awakened by an extremely old woman; I would turn over and then look again and she was still there as if to say, "who are you?" I said, "I live here now and am your house's caretaker." She left. but re-appeared many times.
When I would come home, drawers would be opened; lights would be on and my dog would be upset. The upstairs tenants and I encountered many unsettling and scary events, but then there would be those times when a beautiful scent of roses would fill all the rooms in the house and a peaceful feeling would abound. But the hauntings and darkness of thouse and the feeling that we didn't belong there made me relocate. On the last day, as I finished moving everything out, I felt a harsh and cold feeling of someone saying, "leave; do not return". I made the attempt to vacuum all the rooms once more and the cord to the vacuum cleaner wouldn't stay in the outlet....someone kept pullin it out. I finally said, "Okay, I'm leaving." I picked up the vacuum cleaner, my handbag and went out the door. We were asked to put all the keys on the kitchen table and lock the door when we left. Well, I went out and realized I had locked the door, but still had the keys......when I put the key in the door, the key didn't work,,,didn'tt turn and then snapped in half. A cold breeze went over my face and I felt if I didn't leave the property right then and there, something would happen. The house and property was eventually sold; the house was demolished and a nursing home stands in its place. Everyone that knew about the house wonders...do the ghosts still walk - all their graves are in a corner of the property.
