A New Apartment — AllSupernatural

I was moving into the apartment that I currently live in. A friend, who has lived in the complex for more than 20 years, started telling me stories from when she lived in the same apartment. This person is an alcoholic, so when she started telling me of these things, I only half-listened, thinking that she must have been drunk.

I remember though, that she told me that every evening at 6 am and every morning at 6 am there was an unexplained thump on the floor upstairs in a corner, and that sometimes in the upstairs bathroom, the sink sometimes turns itself on. I nodded and smiled and totally didn't take her seriously when she told me that if I HAD to move to this apartment, and WOULDN'T insist on a different apartment number, not to in the apartment alone.

That same day, I was alone, unpacking some boxes, when the sink turned on upstairs. When I restarted my heart, I crept upstairs, and found the hot and cold all the way on. I turned it off, and caught my reflection in the mirror. In the mirror, I could see a middle-aged man standing behind me, trying to peer around me. I whirled around and saw no one, but I could feel a presence; like someone was watching me. I went back downstairs and continued to unpack, and decided that I would listen for the thump at 6 pm. At 6 exactly, there was a thump on the ceiling, like someone had dropped something heavy in the corner upstairs.

6 am in the morning it was the same thing.

My husband and I decided that whatever it was wasn't menacing, so we put our daughter in the bedroom that the thumping was coming from, figuring that if she got scared we could just trade her rooms. She started becoming afraid of the closet not long after, and my husband and I kept seeing a little boy in her room. We started praying over it, and got some people from our church to pray over the room also, and now she doesn't have any problems.

Every morning while I got ready for work, I kept seeing the man behind me, trying to look in the mirror. I began to grow accostomed to moving out of his way so that he could see too. Now, I don't get up early enough to see him most of the time, since I have a different job and I work the night shift now. Whoever he was, he probably used to get up really early for work. We also don't really notice the thump anymore, and the upstairs sink doesn't turn itself on anymore, but sometimes I feel like I'm being watched.

that is what i call a recorded routine ghost kay.

the ghost isnt really a ghost, it borders on paralith in intelegence, but the thing is, that it isn't intelegent at all it is restless true, but it only moves around in the house the way it did in life...not anything to be afraid of, unless you interfere with his routine like you did in the bathroom, thats why he was watching you, because his routine was jammed by this invader that broke his routine for even the slightest second. but the boy i don't understand...ill do more research....did i mention i have an accumulated library of paranormal tomes, from my numerous paranormal studies...i may not have any bookshelves to put them in but i have alphabetized them. in piles of course.....just wanted you too know that not all my time is spent on the internet...

Yeah, it doesn't scare me. Sometimes, he startles me, though, especially when he comes into the bathroom while I'm in the shower (he doesn't watch me then, I just hear rummaging in the bathroom and the door open and close, which can be disconcerting when you know no one is home). Maybe I've just watched Psycho too many times :)

movies often distort our knowlage of the paranormal...but sometimes they actually follow the studies done...but yes, if you think he's going to kill you then you have watched psycho too much

Interesting encounters. Have you attempted to capture any kind of 'proof' of his residency in the apartment? EVP's, pictures, etc.? I think it would be interesting for yourselves and the paranormal community to try and obtain some type of evidence of your ghost. Residual hauntings (essentially the same thing New Breed was talking about) stick around and will go through numerous owners until they are actively 'cleansed' from the residence. Having some type of evidence may not only be for your own interest but also something for the future owners if they experience him and freak out.

only a couple of times and all I've ever gotten is orbs. I have thought about trying again, though, since I do have some webcams and could probably capture something.
