Apparition or Mind Games???

Quite a long time before I was born ( this is not really a personal experience) my uncle (now deceased) was getting ready to pick up my aunt and had brought my dad with him. Where she lived, there was a small road that passed a house that was OLD... I don't think anyone knows how old is was, but it was across the train tracks from her great- grandmother's house and her house and a barn or two. It had an old rocking chair in the front window ( it is a very small house btw). They pulled up across the tracks and parked at her great-granny's house where she was at the time and my uncle supposedly went in to get her and left my daddy outside in the passenger seat. (he was about 14 or 15 maybe older). Anyway, he looked over to the house, inside the little window and saw a man rocking back and forth in the rocking chair looking out towards the landscape, smoking a pipe. He said that his facial features, etc. were very very distinct.

When his brother and soon-to-be sister in law came back outside, he asked them who lived in that house. He said my uncle looked at him like he was crazy and told him no one had lived in that house for years and my aunt said the same. My aunt told her family and they asked my father what the man looked like, what he was wearing. He told them exactly how he saw him and it was the exact description of my aunt's great-grandfather that had died nearly twenty or thirty years before. She described the clothes he liked to wear and the fact that he was never seen without his pipe.

My father ain't really skeptical of the supernatural, but he doesn't really believe in it either. He admits he has seen several things he has not been able to explain. I wasn't born until a decade later, but when he told me I was pretty freaked out. My father had never met the man he had seen and knew nothing about him until this happened. Is it a crazy coincidental mind game or a visit from the other side? This has never happened since then but amazingly the house still stands........
