Barbaric Kid
I was in fifth-grade just eating lunch. I was an unpopular kid because I was "weird" (probably because of my personality. I like to stand out). Half-way through the school year, a new kid shows up, and EVERYONE in my class bombards him with hello's. I didn't care about any "new kid", so I shrugged him off. The next day he sits with me during lunch and we strike up a conversation. In just a matter of days, we were best pals.
It turns out he transfered schools because he got into a fight with someone at his old school. He didn't go into details, but I could tell he was the winner and regretted it. He looked kind of scared and horrified when we talked about it. Being his friend I didn't want to bother him too much, so we just talked about other things.
About a month or two later, this jerk I'll name Jerry decided to bully me. I wasn't much of a fighter, so he had the best of me. It turned brutal. I was trying to throw punches but he didn't even look scarred or something. He ended up giving me a bloody nose and knocked me on the ground. He was about to throw another when my friend stepped-in. I can't remember exactly what he said, but my name was included, and he was MAD.
Jerry walked over to him to hit him, when out of nowhere he started screaming. Everyone was gasping, and I couldn't see because Jerry's back was to me. When I did manage to see, my friend was sinking his teeth into Jerry's arm. Not only that, his nails were completely in his skin, and his eyes were red. When he let go, Jerry's arm was bleeding badly.
You know the strangest part? My friend was snarling, and he looked like he was aiming to kill.
It seemed to last only a few seconds before school officials came. They took Jerry and I to the nurse's office, and they probably took my friend to a different room. Jerry was crying, and his arm was pretty messed up. He wouldn't talk, so I explained the whole situation (I may have put too much blame on Jerry, but for the most part I told the truth). Although when I was done, I could hardly believe myself.
That night I checked my e-mail messages and my friend sent me one. All it said was "I'm sorry." and a link to informations about were-wolves. I thought this kid was just crazy up till then, and I never heard from him since. (Don't ask me for the link. I deleted the email long ago and I don't remember what it was)
I don't know if he was just a kid with extreme temper-problems or if his instincts kicked in to help me. Before that fight, my friend seemed completely normal. He didn't have any medications, no mental disorders, and he didn't show any anger problems.
By the way; Jerry was okay in the end. He has stitches, but for one, he moved out of the school right after the school year, and two, he was kind of quiet during the time he was there.
