Day to Day Life

On March 3rd 2000 my family and I moved to Texas. We bought a house two days after getting here. At first the house seemed normal enough. None of the kids seemed scared of anything and it just felt peaceful. Boy was I wrong! From what we have seen there is a little boy that just stands in my daughters doorway of her bedroom. He never does anything, or even moves. He just stands there and watches the bedroom. Then there is "the old woman" in the living room. She is kind of creepy! I mean she never bothers me, but she does not like my mom or one of my sisters. But I'll get back to that one. There is also something in my kitchen. I am not sure if it is the same one from the living room or if it is a different one. Personally I think that it is not the same one. Okay now with just a couple of the stories.

My house is very old, it has ten foot ceilings and cupboards on one wall all the way to the ceiling in the living room. Every time I change the living room, you know like move the sofa and chairs to different places. Or even when I paint or put up new drapes. I will wake up in the morning and all of the cupboard doors will be open! And please keep in mind that we have to get a step ladder to open these doors. That just gets annoying. But there was a time when the old lady was not very nice. I had gotten into a really bad car wreck and got busted up pretty bad. Well my mom and sister came to stay with me to help out because I have six kids and could not do it on my own. I was sleeping on the sofa as I could not get my wheelchair into my bedroom. well my mom and sister set up beds in the living room so that they could be with me and sometime in the night my mom awoke because she could not breathe. she said that it was just like someone was holding their hand over her mouth and nose. she started to thrash around on the bed and it woke up my sister. She then jumped up and turned on the light and then mom was fine and could breathe again. But then in the morning when my sister woke up, she had very distinct bruises on her neck that looked just like a hand! It freaked me out so bad I didn't sleep for days! Luckily whatever it is that is in the living room does not have a problem with me or anyone that lives here. But even my kid's friends are not comfortable sleeping in the living room.

I have lived in this house for nine years now and could go on for hours with the different strange things that have happened in this house. I have thought about trying to get audio, or setting up a camera, But I am scared that if I do the activity is just going to get worse and that whatever it is will turn it's attention on me and my kids.

Your story sounds very similiar to what happened to my family when I was little. We moved into a house that was haunted by a nasty old woman and a young boy, who didn't like me much. In that case, though, the spirits did bother my sister and me. My mom finally had enough of us being scared, and she told the spirits that they were in her house and that she was not leaving. She said they could stay, but they had to leave us alone and learn to share the house. After that, the hauntings stopped. I never got over it, though. I am a 32 year-old woman now, and I am still scared of one of the rooms in that house where all the bad things happened. I will say this, though: if you have been living there for nine years, and you and your children have not been personally bothered by the spirits, I would just leave it alone. There's no sense in stirring them up if you are living there in peace.
