Dreams that come true
Throughout my whole life I have had periodic dreams that I would have more than once. They were like pieces of a puzzle that usually meant nothing until days, months, even years later. This dream was about me driving my husband's red Dodge truck while following him in his white work truck. We drove to a road that I knew well and turned left. I had the dream a couple of times and couldn't make sense of it, until six months or so later.
My oldest son got killed in an awful work accident and a week before that my husband had fallen 17 FT off the top of a building onto the next level below him. A few months down the road my husband had healed enough to try and work. He found a job at a refrigeration place and after a while, he felt it was time to try to move on. He found work at the city.
That's where the dream comes in. He quit the refrigeration place and had to turn in his work truck. He asked me to follow him so he could do so. He wanted me to drive his truck. I suddenly found myself reliving exactly what happened in the dream and began to cry.
If I had only known what I was seeing, could I have done something?

Sometimes when we dream we glimpse a bit of what is coming up for us. There is really nothing you can do to change these events, they will come to pass.
In the case of your dream about driving the truck for your husband, are you saying that had you known why you were driving that you could have prevented him losing his job?
unless he did something at your suggestion that caused him to lose his job, I think you can safely say the job loss as between your husband and the company he worked for.
