Evil music?

I am an industrial music artist and hope to get bigger someday but that’s aside from my story. The real story is the band who’s keyboardist helped me get started.

They were a pretty big industrial band in the area until they moved more towards the Richmond area. They haven’t really played any shows since but are trying to get something together...

Anyway, they had a song which contained the trione musical interval which was banned from use by the church back in the 18th century. They have had some interesting and often bad incidents when playing this particular song especially when it hits that specific chord interval...

One day they were playing a gig at a place were there were sheets hung around on the walls as an improvise to create better acoustics for the room. They played this song as a closer for their show and right when it hit that interval most of the sheets fell to the ground.

Another incident happened during a practice. It was a decent day and they decided to practice outside on a back deck. They started rehearsing this specific song and when they hit that interval, the deck gave out under the guitarist and she (yes their guitarist is a female) fell through. Fortunately she wasn’t hurt.

Another and most interesting time was at a benefit concert for a young 9 year old who had leukemia...

Anyway, they played the song half way through their set and their keyboardist's synth glitched on him when they hit that part. I’m a synth programmer myself and I’ve seen my fair share of hardware mishaps... but what happened to him was strange because it started playing by itself. He later told me at first he thought it was a problem with his sequencer until he tried shutting off that synth before it messed up the song too much. However, when he hit the switch it didn’t turn off. It kept playing. After that part was over it shut off. They finished off their set fine and got off stage.

There have been other incidents. After driving down the road from a gig, the keyboardist put their cd in and some songs played. Just when it hit that part, a car swerved off the road and ran in to a ditch.

It’s all maybe a coincidence but if it is then its damn insane.

I honestly have never heard of this chord. Your friends' band is in Richmond area you say? I'm in VA and would be interested to hear them and see them attempt this chord sometime if they plan to play again.

Otherwise... interesting evil chord. lol

I found an artical on the Tritone on Wikipedia. There was a small example that can be played and listened to.

Check it out!

Tried to search google for tritone (although I have heard of this chord before). I copy/pasted the word so I would not have to type it in... and what pasted was "tritone hotel rome"

beats me why... any one know anything about this hotel?

No i did not click anything else, just pasted the word.
