Ghost Hand
OK, first off, this is completly different from my first story, this happend to me when I was in 9th grade. I was sleeping in my room, it was about one o'clock when I woke up, I had my TV on, so I started watching it. About an hour or so in, I see this fog appear out of nowhere. This ghost-like hand that I could see through comes up out of the fog and kinda slithers up my dresser and turns off my TV. Then it just vanishes. Then my closet starts to shake. It looks like there is an earthquake going on in my closet. I don't feel anything but my clothes are moving so violently and rapidly I couldn't belive they stayed on the hangers. I got about 5 mins of that, then it just stoped like nothing had happend. I wasn't about to make them mad so I curled up in my blanket and shut my eyes and waited for my alarm clock to go off.

it depends on what kind of televison you were watching. If it was a CRT (the big non-flat ones), it was essentially "shooting" electrons into your eyes. After a while watching, your eyes will try to compensate for their lack of equal lighting and will darken parts of your vision at random. This is a quite explainable occurance.
