Ghost in the Car

My mom and I were getting in the car about to go grocery shopping when my mom looked in her rear view mirror and saw a seatbelt in the seat behind me move as if someone was sitting there and putting the seatbelt on. I didn't see it, but heard the seatbelt move.

My mom was startled a little.

Maybe. Or perhaps the seatbelt just moved due to natural reasons.

I'd say you're mom was just being a bit paranoid because unless there was something more substantive... I wouldn't say there's a ghost in your car.

I would have been startled too. Maybe next time add how much it moved? That could put more proof to your tale.
