Grandparents House
When we would go visit my Grandparents on my dad's side I would always get a strange feeling at their house. I really don't know much on the house other than it was my Great-Grandparent's and it's been around since Kent was mostly forest.
The downstairs of the house, where you would come in, was the furnace, washer and dyer and bedroom/living room that got used as storage. There was also a cellar/storage place that my grandma used to store her canned and jarred foods. There wasn't a door, and it wasn't closed off and you could also see into it when you went up or down the stairs. I hated this room with a passion, even to this day when I think about it I get chills. I had only been in it once, maybe twice that I can remember, and it always gave me this weird feeling like I was being watched, like whenever I would go up or down the stairs by myself I wouldn't look towards this room and I would run as fast as I could so I didn't have to be near it for very long. The only places in this house that bothered me were the storage, the hall, the bathroom and the 3 upstairs bedrooms. I would always avoid going down the hall alone, even though it was no longer than 6 feet. I hated going to the bathroom in that house and I would always try to get my mom to stand outside to wait for me. I was always scared that when I would come out of the bathroom something would be standing there or come out to get me.
When I was 8 years old my grandpa got really really sick so we went to go see him. The night we got there he passed away in his bed. I remember my parents telling me how before this he said something was trying to get him and he thought it was the devil, death or something along those lines. My dad just dismissed this as him hallucinating because he was so sick. Well after he passed away I still had trouble going into his room because we weren't allowed to when he was alive, and back then I wouldn't have been able to tell you why I felt I couldn't go in, except that it just felt wrong. Years after this, when I was about 13 or 14 years old my grandma came to live with us, months later (I can't remember how long exactly) she passed away from pneumonia. She was to be cremated like my grandpa was and put with him at the veteran’s memorial in Kent, so we went over for the ceremony. Of course we stayed in their old house (which my aunt was taking care of) and when we got there, the house had completely different feeling. The storage downstairs still felt creepy and I still couldn't look at it, but it seemed as if it was only in there now. I could go in all the rooms just fine, just not that one. After I told my parents about all of this, I came to the conclusion that it was my great-grandparents and grandpa in the house and when grandma passed away they were complete so they could rest in peace.
Then 2 years ago my parents were at the house packing up some of my dad's stuff and my dad walked into the house, up the stairs collapsed on the floor and died. The doctors said that he had basically had a heart attack. He had shown no signs of it, just dropped. Now what gets weird is that all the men in the Clark family have died in that house. After I found this out, I started to wonder if it has something to do with that thing in the storage place.
Sorry if it's at all written poorly, writing isn't one of my strong-suits.
