Haunted House...I know I know a cliche
My husband and I had just moved into our first home and on the Memorial Day weekend, we were putting boxes away in the closet under the stairs (yup you guessed it in the basement) when I heard loud heavy foot steps walk across the kitchen floor and go towards the front door of our house. Needless to say my husband didn't hear anything...so he says....and went up to investigate and there was no one in the house. This happened to me mostly when I'd be home alone and in the basement. The last time I heard those heavy loud footsteps was again on Memorial Day weekend and I thought my husband had come home from work. He hadn't gotten home yet. He was still at work just about ready to leave.
In the basement, there was a portal as you came down the stairs. One day I had come back downstairs to get back on the computer and I walked through the spirit of this elderly couple holding hands. Yes that really happened.
We've since moved out of the house so I don't know what the new owner is experiencing if anything at all.
But the apartments my husband and I are living in are also haunted. But that's another story.

LOL I know. It never bothered me at all having that portal in the basement of the house. I thought it was cute to see an older couple out for a stroll holding hands. I was never really frightened in that house. But I think it started to overwhelm me before we moved out.

No I didn't but I knew it was an older grandparent type couple. They seemed so cute holding hands when I saw them and walked through them.

haha. cool. I have a protal in front of my bedroom door.... Not fun.

There is a way to close a portal but I don't remember how to do that now. I know I had a lot of spirits/ghosts coming and going through the portal in my old home.
