its all over (or is it?)

i have sorrowful news my friends, for everyone who lives on the equator, and others.

there was a not to recent expedition to the arctic, made by my agency, to investigate odd energy signatures, our people dug into an iceberg on the very edge of the arctic circle, something was released, it killed the men, and the odd energy sigs are traveling up the side of the planet, it is, at present, making its way up to the Caribbean, it is an entity that manifests in black goop that seemingly defies gravity, or a black cloud, it can duplicate and manifest eyes, or something that looks like them, it whispers in Aramaic, but this seems older than demons, it says it is darkness incarnate, if you find this creature, or one of it's manifestations, floating over or otherwise occupying your town, engage with flashlights, strobe lights, whatever you can find that emits light, and keep them powered.
