Jersey Devil
The Basics: I'm 18 and most people think I'm schizoid due to the fact that I think I'm somewhat psychic. I've been through a bit.
My uncle has a cabin out in the pineys. One night I stayed overnight, but couldn't sleep, so I went for a walk along the man made path. That's when I spotted it. It was a dark figure on the side of a tree. It looked at me with glowing eyes and jumped away and disappeared. Never really saw it again.

I've driven through the Pine Barrens a few times... no lucky sightings for me. Someone just needs to run it over and bring some proof positive. While at it... maybe hit Nessie and Bigfoot while their at it.

You couldn't possibly DESCRIBE it in anymore detail? Was the moon out or was it pitch black? How far away exactly?

it was dark enough that i couldnt make out more than the fact that there was a black mass with glowing eyes on a tree, i saw somewhat of a faint outline as it jumped away, but i didnt get a good look

i believe in the jersey devil. the legend goes that a witch gave birth to a child and seeing the child's eyes cursed him with her finger and the child transformed into a demon hybrid baby with wings and killed everyone in the room. He feeds on people or at least used to but sightings are few and far between. i hope you see him or it again. personally ive seen some demons but none in jersey but that is a whole nother tale thanks for sharing your story.
