My Room Mate The Ghost

I live with the paranormal every day on many levels. A year before I moved into my apartment, an aquaintance of mine died in the front room of a coronary event.

He lay for the better part of a week. When they found him it wasn't pretty.

I have lived here for three years and he makes his presence felt in many ways.

Noises that I cannot explain (and trust me, I went through every excuse I could think of trying to debunk the events!) I have felt the touch of a hand on my shoulder when no one was around. I have seen flashes of light out of the corner of my eye now and then.

But the most telling is the picture that I took of him in the back room of my apartment.

I heard a noise while I was playing around with a new digital camera. Being smart aleky I snapped off a shot at the corner it came from. When I recovered from what I saw in the first picture I snapped off a second as a control. I had taken a picture of my room mate. The second shot came out clear.

As I said, I knew this man in life and he was decent, so I see no reason to fear him in death. I have told him that he is free to come or go as he pleases. He can go to the light if he wants to. I told him I have no problem with peaceful cohabitation. He is good company and we don't bother each other. Ghosts are just people who happen to be dead.

He's the best room mate I've ever had.
