Night of Terror

I was 18 years old when this occurred. I was in a band at the time, which was the career path I had chosen. Our bass player had recently quit the band and we hired a new guy to fill the spot. I managed to get this "New Guy" a job where I worked at a commercial landscaping company based out of Macungie, PA. It was to be his first day working with me at this Landscaping job, but he lived a good distance away, so I offered that he stay over at my place and we could ride in together. He accepted and came over to my house.

That night we had a good time watching the movie Tommy Boy (a comedic movie with Chris Farley). We spent an hour or so laughing and were in good spirits. After the movie had ended it was about 11:30pm and we decided that we should get to bed, as we were due to be at work by 7:30am. I was in my bed, and the "New Guy" was lying on the floor in my bedroom. After we got settled I turned off the light and closed my eyes.

Only a few minutes had passed and my friend had jumped up and said that something touched his arm. So... I turned on the light and asked him what happened. He said he was just laying there and he felt something rub against his arm. I immediately assumed he was just being a wimp and the bed skirt had touched his arm or something. (Remember, I didn't know this guy for too long). So I mentioned that to him and he said that wasn't it. Then I suggest maybe one of my 2 cats were in the room and were the cause. We then searched the room looking everywhere, but found no cats. At this point I said, I am sure you just bumped into something and reiterated the fact that we had to be at work very early. So we got back in bed and I turned off the light and relaxed.

A good amount of time had passed and I was drifting off to sleep. I remember laying there and hearing my friend speaking to me saying "knock it off man". Well, I was half asleep at that point and was just responding to him by saying yeah. THEN all of a sudden I heard a pretty loud noise that brought me entirely conscious. I sat up in bed and looked over to my left only to see the upper part of my friends body suspended in mid air. It was the scariest thing I had ever seen.

I quickly turned on the light next to my bed and he fell forward onto the ground. He crawled up and put his elbows on my bed as he was catching his breath. I asked "What the F*** was going on", and he didn't respond. He was still out of breath. Finally he told me that he was laying there and felt something touching his arm. He said the he thought it was ME teasing him because of what happened before (which would explain why he was saying knock it off to me). He then said he heard a clicking noise and then was lifted up into the air by the choker chain he was wearing around his neck. We sat there for a couple of minutes and I told him he could sleep up in my bed with me if he wanted to because of the situation, and he said no. Seconds after that a bottle of Contact Lens Cleaner was knocked over forcefully and rolled across the floor. My friend immediately jumped up onto my bed.

After that, nothing happened for a while. SO again I told him that I needed to sleep, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to function at work. He said fine, but I am staying awake. I said okay and then turned off the light. Seconds later we both heard a clicking noise. My friend said That's the noise I heard before I was picked up. I was immediately creaped out, because I knew exactly what that noise was. So I turned on the light and walked over to my computer and pushed the reset button. After I pressed the button it was exactly what I thought it was and then I ran back to my bed. I was totally scared at this point. Just after I got back in the bed the Mini Blinds I had in my room started swinging back and fourth. This could have been explained by me jumping into my bed, but they were not slowing. They kept swinging for well over a minute and they were not slowing down at all. I was about lose it, I didn't know what else to do so I started to pray. A short time after I felt water droplets hitting me. It felt like someone sneezed on me if that is a better description. Then everything stopped. We were up for another 30 minutes or so and then my Mom woke up and came into the room to check on us, as most moms would. She saw us and asked why we were still awake when we had to go to work so early. We began to tell her what had happened and she just dismissed it and told us that we were crazy.

That was probably the worst night of my life...
