Pretty Dolls

For christmas when I was 12 years old, I received two decorative porcelain dolls from my great aunt. My great aunt was supposedly known at the time to be into some occult things, and disliked my parents. She gave me a little pioneer doll with curly blonde hair and a Marty Gras doll with a feather boa and a painted white face. As soon as I put the dolls on my shelves, it was readily apparent that they were possessed. The blonde one continually moved on the shelf, and sometimes moved herself off of it and fell to the ground. I had a really sturdy bookcase, with wide shelves that I put her on. I put her at the back of the self, and every night she would either be on the other end of it, or on the ground. She also liked to watch people in the room. As an experiment, I turned the doll so that she was facing away from me and turned my back several times. Every time she would turn herself to look at me. I tried it with several witnesses with the same result- with no one having the chance to touch the doll.

The Marty Gras doll moved as well, on occassion, but usually just seemed to "fall" off whatever shelf she was on. She also had a prevading burning smell about her, and I believe was the cause of several small fires around our home.

What happened to them? I kept them until I was 17 out of obligation, but began keeping them in boxes in the back of my closet by the time I was 13, and only brought them out when my mother asked about it. I didn't like to touch them, because it hurt (I know it's weird, but the energy they put off was so negative that it was literally painful.) I tried several times to exorsize the spirits, with help from others. My grandmother did a smudging (a Native prayer involving burning sage.), which helped for a short time, but the spriits always returned. When I was 17 the blonde doll flung herself from the back of my closet shelf and broke her face. I threw her away.

I gave the Marty Gras doll to my sister (at her request) and she smashed it with a rock and tossed it in a dumpster.

That's crazy. Sorry you had to go through all that, expecially so young! Did you ever confront your aunt about what was happening?

it was a good thing that you disposed of these possessed dolls. if you kept them for longer than that, who knows what might've happened. sometimes, if the person who made the object possessed dies, then they become angry and try to harm the one in possession of them.

I would of not broken the dolls, some times the reason "possesed" objects tend to "fall" off the shelf is to be broken, once something like that is broken it can be released in our world, not a good thing...

That makes sense. I didn't think about that back then- I was a kid. I do think whatever it was haunted me for a long time afterward.

Yea the reason you felt haunted long afterwords is because you broke them. You should have burnt them if anything and then buryed the ashes. When objects are possesed like that they become a jar of sorts that hold the demon. When you break them they can get out. I could never have kept them for that long. WOW I would never have been able to be in that room alone!
