Quietly As I Sit Here

Quietly Sitting Here

As I am sitting here at the computer I am hearing things move around me.

I look around and though I see nothing, I can feel the presents of something or someone.

I try to be patient as I wait to listen to the next movement and there it is: the sound of someone in my bathroom slowly pulling the towel down off the rack...I get up and go to the bathroom and notice that the towel is now on the floor, so I pick it up and refold it, placing it back on the rack before I return to my computer.

I sit here for awhile and hear nothing. It's like this presence wants to play a game. I am a little freaked out by it, yet in some way I want to hear more and see what else this presence can do to try and get my attention.

I know my kids are sound asleep and it is not them. I have an old senile dog who sits at my feet and is not fazed by any of this; he's too old to care and can't see, so he just lays there and sleeps.

I stop typing to listen...I feel a cold breeze run by me that doesn't seem natural that I can't explain. My central air has not kicked on so I know it's not that but what could it be?

I hear a faint whistling noise...it's getting creepy now, it freaks me out. I look around thinking it may be my cat but she is in my bedroom asleep on my bed, and my bedroom is over 100 yards away from me so it's not that.

I continue to listen but the more I listen the more scared I get. STOP! JUST FRICKING STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All is quiet but for how long?

True story I am not sure if I have someone here. It's kind of hit or miss on when things happen. I don't notice it all the time maybe it's always there and I just ignore it. I don't know, but these are true facts of things in my house on what I hear.

Calm down. Slooooowww riiiiide. Take it eaaaaasssssyyyyy.

First and foremost... relax.

Secondly, forget it. Seriously. Just throw it in back of your mind as nothing more than you being paranoid. You're scaring yourself more than whatever it is, is scaring you.

Unless something more substantive occurs... I'd just say there's nothing to worry about. When you start thinking and living it... you're body and mind is going to play tricks on you when there may not be anything there.

Unless something extraordinary occurs, sounds you hear and even that cold air you feel can only be accredited to your mind as you're clearly becoming extremely paranoid.

Sorry that I'm being blunt... but until you get a complete hold of yourself in the situation, it's hard to accredit anything to supernatural means. If this is ongoing... try to investigate and find out. Knock out all possibilities if you can before jumping to the paranormal explanation.

In my experience a lot of this stuff can be explained logically.

The whistle--probably a window or door that's got a bad seal. Have someone check it out. It's good for your bills and for the environment.

The towel--probably just giving way. I have found this more than once. I have hung a towel up in the bathroom and when I come in it's on the counter top in a lump. For a long time I thought it was my wife doing it, because she never seems to hang up the towel when she's done using it, but many times it's not. The towels just fall down sometimes.

And houses make noises, especially at night. As the air cools off after a hot day in the sun, so does everything. Walls shift and pop as they cool and contract and windows can even slam down on their own if they're old enough and not well built.

My advice: It's probably not paranormal but set up a camera or an audio device if you still hear things. You never know what you'll find.
