Recent Mothman Sighting?

There are rumors circulating that there was a reported "Mothman" sighting in Minnesota Before the Minneapolis I-35W Bridge Collapse. The creature was reportedly encountered in Stewartville, Minnesota on June 27, about a month before the bridge collapse.

The bridge collapse was in the summer of 2008. We had a large creature in our back yard that can only be described as the mothman, but it was the winter of 2006. The creature was seen again in Andover on the bank of the Rum River at dusk in 2007. Again the same creature was seen way up high on a industrial smoke stack on the same block as my business in 2008 right before the collapse. Two sightings were only blocks apart. Those two sightings were very late at night, one at around 1:00 AM and the other aound 2:00 AM. All three sightings had more then one witness. I was not one of the witnesses, however, I was very aware something was not right on my property that night winter of 2006. I came home late at midnight, which wasn't typical of me. I stayed up watching TV, lights on to unwind. After some time around1:00 AM I felt a very eerie feeling come over me. I had the strong impression that I was being watched. So strong was the feeling, that I immediately reached over and turned out the light. I had a window with no shade in the room I was in. I then even got up, went to the kitchen and turned out that light too, wanting it to be completely dark inside. I then resumed watching tv, feeling better.

The next morning I got an ear full. My son had been by in the alley to meet up with a friend behind us. He had two friends in the back seat. He ran across the alley and only was gone a few minutes. Upon return his friends look traumatized. They were so frightened by what they just witnessed, it's all they could talk about the rest of the night when they got home. They had never seen anything like it before. They knew nothing about the mothman, but their detailed description fit it to a tee. It was tall, large wings, glowing metallic type eyes, no visable mouth. It made a loud screeching noise. ran across my yard, blocking the light in my bay window as it crossed. Then it headed toward the side of the house where I was sittng watching TV. When asked about what time it was, they said one in the morning. This to me explains why I felt I was being watched and the timing of it. The thought still gives me the creeps. My son and I checked out the back yard the next day, and sure enough, there were odd prints in the snow. In all three sightings the creature made eye contact, staring straight at those seeing it. I can't be sure they were all three the same creature, only that the description sounded the same. Did it have something to do with the bridge collapse? The only comment I have in regards to that is, the two sightings in Minneapolis were very close to where the 35 W bridge is located...walking distance.

I want to add something else to the sightings of 2006-2008. I realize this is old news now, and no longer recent, but I was thinking more about it. The same area in Andover, MN where it was seen in 2007, is where I was coming back from late that night in 2006 when it was in my back yard. The third sighting was seen from the top of my business building. My question would be to anyone with experience in such matters...all three sightings had a connection with my elsdest son and myself. Many years ago...over 30, I saw a large two footed creature in the same area in Andover. Does anyone else find the connections interesting?

I live in Minnesota. I did not see the Mothman, but the night before the 35W bridge collapse I watched the Mothman Prophecies and was very disturbed only to wake up the next day to find the bridge had collapsed. It was very eerie that I watched that movie the night before it happened and was still shaken up over the movie when I discovered that the bridge had collapsed

Hi to... whoever reads this.

There's something odd about this... being. I know there's probably a lot of trolls and liars on here that will immediately judge and say "You have wild imagination"...

So I'll start off by saying fuck you.

I really hope I'm not alone. Someone needs to read this.

Well.. I saw this movie when I was pretty young, about 11 years ago. I thought it was honestly extremely scary but interesting. I immediately got a phone call to my home while the credits rolled and it was just odd... no one had my number because I was so quiet that I had no friends. Only my grandmother had my number.

I was a kid so I said wow that's scary... and I let it go. (It sounded like random noises and electricity and didn't last long at all)

So two years later I ran into this film again (I was about 13) and this time it got to me because the fucking phone rang again. This time it was a friend (close one!)

Hours later, I again got a call to my cell and... it wasn't a friend.

It was just noise. So I hung up... and I immediately got another call back with the same.. the same shit.

I panicked a bit and said this is a ridiculous coincidence.

I thought about it and my life felt a little... out of place?

I started... having nightmares. Many nightmares. Endless nightmares that I don't think about anymore.

One of them was about that creature.

I don't want to type this story as this is not the most comfortable thing to do when you're alone at night.

But it surrounded me in that dream... It knew me, it knew everything and it definitely was not an naturalistic animal. This.. thing is an intelligent terrestrial being.

My friend, her name is Rosie and I already had knew her for awhile(she's amazing lol) and she was in the dream. She was just as freaked out in the dream as me but the figure only approached me(I was sitting in the driver side of a car) and whispered "don't run" or something like that in my ear. It looked like it wanted to be friendly but it gave off a wtf are you vibe.

I awoke... and I signed on AIM at midnight(old days lol) and Rosie said "wow you're back" or something like that.

I then said, when did I leave lol?

She then said... just now. She then said that she'd been IMing me the past hour or so. I asked oh yeah what did I say?

And she said that it was just normal stuff, almost formal and that I was being a bit quiet. I didn't know what to think as there was no record of it on AIM but boy did I scare the living shit out of her when she heard my dream and about this movie and thing. We were never close after that- but I guess we're kind of cool now.

Then as I grabbed some water from my fridge two hours later and walked into my room, there on the god damn window, the being flew by. I'd HATE to say it was watching me talk to her the whole time because it freaks me out til today.

I did see a large figure again fly on top of some evergreen looking trees at night by a highway a few years ago with my friends but I tried to not think about it.

I have forced myself to never think or relate to this experience again, but I've never told my story... What I do not understand is that I'm located in a very unrelated area to these sightings (Miami, FL).
