Shadow figure seen since young age

Alright, this is the truth, and nothing but the truth. this is about my boyfriends experiences. Ever since he could remember when he was little, a shadow figure would always follow him everywhere, and would constantly be beside him or around him, but never say anything, or try anything. He has said multiple times he would just be watching tv at his house, and turn into the kitchen way and see the figure just there, staring at him. But it would never do anything to harm him. as he told me, one day he was watching tv laying on the couch, when he saw the figure in the kitchen doorway, he said, this time it scared him, (he was never scared of the figure because it never gave him a reason to be), and he said, he buried his face into the couch cushion for about 15 minutes, and he said once he felt that feeling go away, he turns around, and BAM! the shadow figure is right there directly in front of his face standing over him. He said it did nothing but stare, reach out , then disappear. He hasn't seen it in a year or so since he moved into the house were in how, but i know somethings around, cause someday's he'll be completely fine, and some other days he acts like a totally different person.. I'll hear noises constantly when I'm home alone, but i can never see anything.

Another time, he told me a story his mom told him about when he was little.

He told me that, she said, one night she was watching scary movies while my boyfriend(age at the time was before 2), was dead asleep in his bed in his room, while his mother was out in the living room watching tv. She heard a loud noise coming from his room thinking he fell off the bed or something, and she said, when she came into the room, and turned on the light, that he was dead asleep still but his back was totally arched, like literally he was bent back all the way, and she could see there was something sitting on him, like he was deformed or something, and she tried to wake him up, and lift him up to hold him, and she said she tried everything in her power to move him, and couldn't. she said it was like trying to lift a semi-truck, and finally she screamed "get off my son!" and he woke up to his mom holding him crying...
