Something Unusual

Let me just start out by saying I am a very skeptical person. Most stories I just don't believe... stories are great, and that is all I have, but I need proof. I don't expect people to believe me either. But you are more than welcome to keep reading....

During a visit to my Grandmother's house I heard something, for lack of better word, unusual. While sitting in the kitchen with my enitre family I heard someone walking in the back bedroom. Thinking it was my grandpa I turned around to see if I needed to move to let him into the room... but no one was there. So I just figured it was one of my cousins playing in there but upon further inspection I noticed my enitre family was in the kitchen with me. Everyone was there. All of a sudden every hair on my neck and arms stood on end. Then I heard the footsteps head to the back of the room. I asked my grandma if any one was in there and she said no right after that I heard the footsteps again coming towards me. So I went back there just to see for myself and there was no one back there.... nothing.

Now as I said before I am a very skeptical person, I don't readily believe every bump in the nigth or cold spot, but I know I heard those footsteps and I cannot explain where they came from. I am not saying that it is supernatural or a ghost coming for me, I just know what I heard and can't tell you why.

Cool. Maybe you do your own investigation to see if there is a possible link (ask around and see if something happened in the house in the past).

Also, relax with informing us of being skeptical. No one here is going to shoot you down rudely for being a skeptic or all-out believer. Skepticism and research is critical to evidence and proof in this field and is welcome.

Shadow perrigrinus is right. Skeptics and believers all bring dimension and texture to paranormal reporting, investigating, and experiencing.

You tried to reason out all of the most obvious causes first and that says that you have a scientific outlook and practice critical thinking. No worries.

Have you asked any of the others present if they had experienced any phenomena?

You have more courage than I do to admit to this . I too, am just like you , I have tales, events that happened to me, and find it difficult to "let it all out", as they say. I believe you , maybe I'll have the courage to write mine someday too.
