Strange Cat

I have recently had a sighting of something, I have no clue as to what it was but it was big and catlike.

I know that it wasnt a Cougar because of its size and the shape was beefier and it had a sharp thin blade on the tip of its tail, I didnt get to good of a look at it but I was just running around my woods in the dark and I was hiding when all the sudden a few meters in front of me the creature jumped down from the tree and quickly snapped its head to the right hearing my friends come down the trail looking for me, when hearing them the creature bounded off but he was really quiet making sure that it wasnt seen. as it walked off it had a black foggy aura covering it.

Does anyone know what this is?
