Strange Happenings

In 1974 or 1975, my husband and I bought a lot in a new area of Mcallen,
Texas. We built our home and it is still in the family, even though we
divorced and my ex-husband died in 2004. The home is now empty since 2004,
it is involved in the courts as part of my ex-husband's estate. My
children are older, and we lived there for many years. I have tried to
keep my children from trying to stay with the house, as many very strange
things happened to me and my housekeeper. It's funny that my children
never mentioned seeing or witnessing strange things happening.

From day one my housekeeper would hear a baby crying in the kitchen. After
about 1 1/2 years things really started happening to me. It really started
with 3 loud kicks to my bedroom door, which only I or my maid would hear.
Very often, my bed would vibrate slightly, lights turning off, faucets
inside and outside the home turning on at 3:00 am regularly, my bedroom
door would swing back and forth as if to open and close. Whisps of wind
shaking the Christmas tree enough to drop the ornaments. Once a small ball
of fire flew from the switch box, I really thought that it was something
electrical so I called the fire dept, they found nothing wrong. I would
very often lose things only to find them in closets, under pillows in my
room or in cabinets and the refrigerator, this went on almost daily for
about a year. My lampshades in my bedroom would shake, tiny objects that
sounded like the little caps to writing pens,(many of them) would sound
like they were bouncing off the kitchen floor, that happened quite often.
However, the most frightening things were yet to happen, on weekends my
children would visit their father, so I would stay alone in a big 4
bedroom home. One night I was getting to bed and I was turning down my
comforter from one corner, and 1 of the 2 chandeliers in my bedroom
started swinging back and forth, by this time I was so angry at these
weird happenings that I went to the kitchen, got a chair, stood on it, and
stopped it from swinging. With the chandeliers and my bedside lamp lights
on I thought I'd swing the pillow under it to see if they would move but
that didn't make it move, as I went to the entrance of my bedroom to turn
the lights off, BOTH chandeliers started swinging faster, I grabbed my car
keys and ran out in my nightgown and drove to my mom's two towns away. I
had never mentioned any of this to anyone, not even my mom for fear of
ridicule, but this was too much. I made my mom come back home with me, she
sat on my love seat reading The Bible and praying as I slept, she was
absolutely sure it was my nerves, until she said she saw some type of
animal run out from under my bed. She then got in bed with me and hugged
me while I slept, when something pushed her head down towards her chest.

From that point on I started getting fevers every single day. In the
afternoon, when I would get home from work, I felt as if there was a dark,
gloomy veil over my home, I was even dreading getting home in the
afternoons. By this time I was even fainting from feeling so weak, this
went on for months, until my co-worker, an older woman, noticed I had
stopped being the talkative, smiling person I was. She asked if I was ill
or going through something at home. I confided in her and she asked me to
go talk to her Catholic priest. He was very well known for helping people
in this area. I went to him, and told him that many strange things were
happening in my home. I knew what I was seeing and hearing were very real
and that I no longer wanted to go home. He asked me to find another person
that also believed in God. With Holy water, 2 silver crosses in hand, and
our Bibles, we went into my home and he immediately went to my bedroom
door, where everything started. He told me it was a male spirit that was
trying to get my attention, but didn't want to harm me. He blessed the
house and asked the spirit to go. After that day it was as if a veil had
been lifted and things were back to normal.

However, I remarried and moved out of my home, but then went back to live
there for about 3 years. Nothing happened after the 3 years, I had my new
home built and moved out again. It was not until my daughter, and her 2
half twin brothers were living there, that she started mentioning strange
things that were going on for a few months before her fathers death. They
witnessed a dark shadow outside and inside the house several times. They
would hear people talking but couldn't make out what was being said. Doors
would open and close. Two Christmases ago we took family pictures and
there are orbs around me and my 2 older children. One big one and some
smaller ones.

I know when ALL this started happening to me that I was not crazy or
imagining it and I know it was very real. I fear for my 2 older children
if one of them would move into the house, so I need to know if you would
be able to help me with it. This home was built by us, and is in a very
nice area of town and was beautifully kept. I am puzzled as to why this
took place, and why to me. The house is now empty, so I went to
check on it but as soon as I opened the door I felt that horrible, heavy
fear again, needless to say I have not been back since.
