The Girl with the Knife
One day, my boyfriend came over before I had returned from school, and my mother thought that it would be funny if he hid in the closet and jumped out throwing a container of popcorn on me. My poor, stupid boyfriend thought the idea was excellent and went downstairs to my room to hide in my closet.
He remained alone in that closet for half an hour without incidence until he suddenly heard a scraping noise on the other side of the closet in the center of the door. He then heard a little girl's voice tell him that she had been a bad girl and that she would have to stab him for being bad too. I was just coming in the front door when I heard him yell and smash his way through the flimsy closet door, not breaking it, but merely shoving it off it's sliding track.
I ran down the stairs to find him standing in front of the closet with the popcorn and container at his feet, hyperventalting. I helped him put the closet door back on it's track and opened the other side of the door to investigate. Not surprisingly, there were three more long knife marks on the inside of the closet door. I never used that closet again.

wise choice....probably another captive of the phantom that haunted your stairs....i think something good came of it though...by breaking the door down, your boyfriend proably freed the poor little girl....did she ever appear again after that incedent? because if she didn't that probably means my assumption is right....

No, she totally came back, but in a different room, and unbelievably, in a different house. She's one of those ghosts who seems to haunt a person. She haunted me for another year, until I moved out of my parent's house and then haunted my brother for a few years- he was mad as hell that I left her behind- not that I knew he'd get stuck w/ her- I felt really bad about it.

Scary ghost encounter, that'd freak me out. So has she finally left your family alone?

Yes. My grandmother did a smudging in my brother's bedroom, and she went away or went to bother someone else- I don't know which.
