The Green Man Under the stairs

I was just a girl the first time I saw the the green man. My grandma used to tell me that nothing was under the stairs... and I was just being a silly little girl. I used to have dreams and see a green hand grab my legs from under the stairs.

About 5 years later, my grandma found this little statue of a gargoyle monster looking thing. It was green with long arms sitting on it's haunches like a dog. She found it in a drawer and put it on the shelf near the beds. I hated that thing. I told her that it was the man under the stairs. It looked like the green man, Daddy hated the green man too. She asked me how I knew that.

Two weeks later, my Grandma finally put it back in the drawer and the next morning she saw a vision of it sitting on the pillow next to her head...Three generations seeing the same entity.

She threw out the statue and never saw it again. She still doesn't know where it came from, but it had to have been in the house for at least 35 years.

Interesting, you could have actually had in your posession a containment vessel. I have heard in the past of statues, pitcures, or other items that have either been bound to an entity or were used to hold one. Now, as to whether or not it was of a malevolent nature, that I cannot say. Still, very interesting

My cousin used to tell stories about a ceramic cat in her room that would disappear and reapper around the house. She said that sometimes she could hear the sounds of a cat outside in the hallway, and she would look over and see that the ceramic cat was missing. She may have been making it up, but then again, maybe it really happened. I always believed it when I was a kid.

Very interesting. Perhaps the dreams were warnings? Or not. Dreams were definately triggered by that object.

That is interesting.. I guess you didn't look at the object closely for any markings to tell where it may have come from. Did you ever try to search for information or images that looked like it?

it seems to be exactly what you said it was a gargoyle it may not have been malevolent but the things that happened in the dreams may have happened in real life because gargoyles can change memories of actual events that pertain to them to seem like dreams to the person it happened to and gargoyles mostly protect houses and the such
