The Paranormal
Well I am intrigued by dream paralysis. My first experience was when I was about 16 or 17 years old. I remember trying to awake that morning and my eyes were open, but I could not talk or make any movements. I kept trying to call my sisters name who laid in the bed next to me. I was stiff like a board so I thought I was dying. I said to god that I thought it was my time to go and it just released me. That was a scary moment. Now a few years after that I moved to Galvest Island were there are plenty of old historical buildings and I lived in about 4 or 5 of them where I experienced this occurrence more times than I can remember. It was this one time when my boyfriend and I were not getting along with each other and I laid down about 4 in the evening for a nap. It was about my 5th year living in this house and had this occurrence many many times. I kinda just have to lay there till it lets me go. However, this time it kept me for about 1 and a half to 2 hours and there were imprints in the bed with me holding me in my state of paralysis. My boyfriend had been stabbed, and his mother and sister said that they had called me over and over again, but I could not hear the phone ring. It was as if it was holding me there to keep me from going to the hospital to check on him. Turns out he lived through it and not soon after that we moved into yet another old house.
It's like everywhere we moved it followed me, and as scary as it was, I seemed to get use to it. I believe that these old houses in Galveston are hundreds of years old and hold a lot of good and bad spirits. It wasn't till I moved out of Galveston that it seemed to stop. I know one time after moving it happened and I ran into my new husbands arms and felt secure and it has been about 18 years since I have experienced this, until about 2 months ago when I was lying in my bed feel asleep for a powernap and it happened again.
This time a shadow passed from the left foot of the bed where I was lying all around to the right side of the bed and disappeared into my bathroom, which is set to the right side of my bed. Now this is in my brand new house. Also one day as I lay in my bed with the covers off of me for air, something tapped me 3 times on my foot as if to wake me from sleep apnea.
