Their Creepy And Their Crawly
I have had several experinces in my home. My family and I have lived in our home since 1969. We are the only family who has ever lived here. On one occasion I saw what looked like a civil war soldier walk across the room. The shadow appeared on the wall. I passed it off as my imagination.
On another occasion my family woke up and the table was set for breakfast already. Nobody admitted to setting the table. At one time my sister and I heard what sounded like mens footsteps walking in the downstairs hallway. We heard some leaves on the plants in the house rustling like the were be blown by wind. On several occasions I have felt as though I was being watched.

Wow! That's quite a haunting! Yeah, that watched feeling is very common with hauntings, I get it many times.

Of course, you haven't mentioned where you live. It's my understanding that hundreds flock every year to places like Gettysburg because of the extensive hauntings there. People film the battlefield at night with 0 lux cameras to see the marching lights, stay in historical hotels that still have spectral visitors there and have encounters with the fallen of the Civil War. I can only assume you're near one of those locations. Quite often, modern houses are built over locations with histories such as battles or even graveyards and the history intrudes on the people that move in.

The city I live in is full of history. In my neighborhood sits a house that belonged to Davy Crocketts family. Also, the local library that sits just on the outside of the neighborhood sits near an Native American burial site. During the Civil War there was a battle fought in the next city over called The Battle Of Franklin. There are several houses still standing from that time period. One of them was used a hospital during the war. The family that owned the house donated property for the fallen soldiers to be buried on. There is a creek that runs by my house my family has found fossilized Native American moccasins. There have also been bullets or their shells from civil war rifles found in our back yard.

That is true. Now if they clean the house that would be great.

You definitely have some potential for a haunting with all the previous history nearby. I'd request a formal investigation if things continue to occur, there could be some fascinating stuff.
