When Yourself Calls

I apologize to anyone that gets confused while reading this. I tried my best to make it as less confusing as possible. I asked Ashley if she could tell me everything that happened again. So thanks to her, I was able to post this on this site.

One night in November, 2006, my girlfriend Ashley was on the phone talking to her friend Jeffrey. She got a beep from me and flipped over. I talked to her for awhile and she decided to flip back over to Jeffrey. He said, "that was a quick mood change," and joked about her being bipolar. He said that she was crying about me. Ashley said, "no I'm not, what are you talking about?" They were on the phone for about ten minutes, and Jeffrey asked if she had three-way calling. He said, "your phone number is calling my phone." Then he said, "hold on and let me answer this." So he flipped over to the unknown caller. He then flipped back over and told Ashley what the girl had said. The girl said, "what's up" to him. When he had asked her who she was, she said, "It's Ashley." He thought that some girl was pulling a prank on him at that point and said, "you're not Ashley. I'm on the phone with Ashley. Stop calling me." He started talking to Ashley again, and told her his cell phone was dieing. He suggested that she should call his cousin's cell phone so that they could continue to talk. So she called his cousin's cell phone. Jeffrey answered and said, "you're calling my phone again(not his cousin's phone)." Ashley said, "I swear to god I'm not calling you." He said, "well let me answer it so you can hear this. I'll turn the speaker phone on." While he held both phones near each other, Ashley silently listened. He answered the phone and said, "hello?" The girl asked, "Jeffrey why did you hang up on me?" She was crying and he said, "who is this?" "Jeffrey, this is Ashley," she replied. She asked, "Why do you keep asking me who this is?" Then Jeffrey said, "slow down and quit crying." "Tell me what's going on." She said something about me and her having a fight, which had something to do with Christmas. (Ashley can't remember exactly what the girl's explanation was for why she was upset, because she was so shocked at hearing her own voice. However, she does remember for certain that she mentioned Christmas.) Again he said, "you're not Ashley, stop calling me." Then Ashley's phone mysteriously turned off. She turned it back on, and heard a dial tone. She dialed his number and called again. It didn't even ring a single time. He said, "hey you still there?" It was as if the phone had never turned off. He said, "whoa you scared me. Are you ok?" Ashley said, "what are you talking about? I'm fine." She continued to explain to him that her phone turned off so she had just called him back. Not knowing that her phone had turned off, he told her that he thought she had been on the phone the whole time. He said that he heard her screaming. Ashley decided to get off the phone because of how terrified she was. She called me later and told me all about it. She told me that the girl sounded exactly like herself.

Three days after the Christmas of 2007, a year after that phone call, we both got into a pretty bad car accident. I don't know if it had anything to do with that phone call or not. The mysterious girl did say something about Christmas. Was this somehow a phone call from the future? If so, how could that be? Her and Jeffrey are no longer friends and never speak to one another. They stopped talking ever since the beginning of summer 2007. Could it have been herself somehow calling from some kind of parallel universe? Was it a warning? A prank call from a very skilled impersonator? She highly doubts that one, and from what she's told me, I'd have to agree with her. She swears that the girl that claimed to be herself, sounded exactly like herself. It's hard to believe, but I believe her and the two other people that heard it. There are things that happen in this world that we have yet to even begin to understand. I tried to search throughout the internet to see if anyone else had ever had something similar to this happen to them, but to no avail.
